Charkha is an equipment used in ancient times for making khadi out of cotton. It was firstly introduced by gandhiji in India and is well known even today. Before Ashok Chakra came into our national flag, Charkha used to be a part of our flag. This wooden based charkha is finely polished and light in weight and it is a miniature of the original charkha. It is mainly kept in government offices and houses to reflect patrotism. Gifting it to some government official, can surely make him happy.
